Mario Kart boost didn't really happen until June due to it only being 2 days of May NPD and the boost for the most part had ended by July when it went back down to the 50-90k baseline that Wii U had from Jan-Oct, excluding June. Wii U only needs to average 72k/month to be up going into the holidays.

I'm not particularly worried about Wii U being down YoY. I'm fairly certain it will only happen in that period when MK8 launched and it will go up afterwards once the stream of releases hits. I just hope Nintendo has some sort of big seller for the holidays. An Animal Crossing would be perfect.

Idk if we will get some huge megaton announced at E3 and released this holiday, but I'm sure we will get at least 1 unannounced game revealed and released this year, maybe something along the lines of Captain Toad like we had last year.

Right now the major exclusives set for the 2nd half of the year include Yoshi's Woolly World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker, Fatal Frame V, Devil's Third & Star Fox. I could see the lineup looking something like this

August-Xenoblade Chronicles X

September-Mario Maker+$50 price cut

October-Fatal Frame V+Yoshi's Woolly World

November-Star Fox+Devil's Third

December-unannounced title
