My advice is to wait until XCX is out, and that's only if you care about Mario Kart and Smash. That gives you, as far as killer apps go, MK8, Smash 4, and XCX. Then you can maybe count Bayo2 and Splatoon. Those are five games that are sure to justify your purchase if you were to never buy a Wii U game again. It's unfortunate that there aren't more single player AAA games for it yet, but that may change in the future.
