It's inherently easier for individuals to recognize other people than corporations. The same can be said about Iwata, Reggie, Kaz and Kojima. Phil is a well spoken PR guy and he's now the face of Xbox. So to the public, he's words and actions are representative of the brand and he's been pretty 'classy' so far.
