Because Sony owned the name Demon Souls, but neglected to publish to EU and US territories.  Atlus picked it up, and then worked w/ From to make Dark Souls as a multiplat.  Sony distributed worldwide, so the circumstances which allowed Dark Souls to be made, don't exist this gen.

I don't see how that changes anything. None of that stops From from making another multiplat franchise. All it takes is another publisher.

In general, you have to wonder what will happen with From Software titles from this point forward.

People in general keep forgetting that From Software is now owned by Kadokawa Corporation in April of 2014 ( With Kadokawa Games being a Publisher)

We know that Dark Souls is owned by Bamco (they published it outside of Japan, with From Software handling it internally as they did with Dark Souls, prior to their finalization of the Kadokawa Purchase)

Its the same really with Demon's Souls and Bloodborne with Sony.  These deals were in place before the purchase, we really do not know what Kadokawa will do with From.  One thing is for sure, Kadokawa favors Japan and uses Distributors to help out in other regions (Warner Bro's as an example with Lolipop chainsaw).  Its very possible they will continue with Bamco for distrubition outside of Japan, thus more push towards Multiplats.

I will say that Sony has done a great job of Marketting on Bloodborne outside of Japan.  Ive seen many different ads on TV, Posters at the Mall and other exibits.  There is no question that Sony will continue to receive Exclusives from this partnership, but being exclusive completely for From Software?  I doubt it.
