Wow, that's kind of you. Maybe VERY kind. I'd had erase him from my "friend-list" as soon as I noticed that. I had a similar experience. My best friend was living with another person in a flat. One night my friend and I went out to drink some beers. Next day, when I woke up, my 3DS with a Zelda game that I carried with me was gone. Hangover+stolen 3DS = Punch his partner in the face. But, my friend thought that I overreacted and maybe that 3DS was only missing (I was sure it was stolen...). Three months later, my friend "missed" Bayo 1/Mario Kart 8/Smash Bros/Deus Ex: Human Revolution and one amiibo.

What I'm trying to say is, talk to him, if you're not the "impulsive" type of person, but if you fix this, keep an eye on him. If you're too soft maybe he will steal you more amiibos/games when you're distracted. I would have punch him, but I understand there are people who solves these things in a different way. Just be careful.
