Doesn't that fit with the WiiU's LT split between those regions though? I haven't a clue if it's under-tracked or not (i certainly hope so, those sales are dreadful), but the LT split implies it sells twice as much in NA quite frequently. Or do we know the split is wrong (from NPD and the like)? |
Wii ULT is overtracked in NA by 200,000/300,000.
And is confirmed by NPD, but all time that Wii U is overtracked lifetime (for example when Nintendo released the shipped numbers), ioi adjustment down the EU sales when are correct and doesn't matter the NA sales that are confirmed overtracked!
So yeah, Wii U WW seem correct, but is undertracked in EU and Overtracked in NA.
Any way yes, at the start Wii U in NA was selling nearly double than in EU, but not only, in EU Wii U was selling less than in Japan.
All Nintendo console in EU have a bad start, N64 in EU have sold more than in Japan, but the first two year Japan was a better market than EU, like GC.
Wii U is the same case, with the difference that now the NA - EU sales are more close.
Wii U by half of 2014 sell in Europe much better than before.
Also, the lifetime gap NA - EU is even because the holiday season, because in the US the console have better boost than in EU, in the rest of the year like March-April, the EU sales are more close.
