If the Wii launched in 2001 it wouldn't have succeeded. Motion sensing tech was not as advanced back then to carry it to the heights it reached during the 7th gen. It also wouldn't have had WiFi, Bluetooth or 512MB of internal storage since such tech would've been to costly for Nintendo to consider, the same reason DVD playback was discarded. It would've been just what the GameCube turned out to be
