I turned it off on my phone. Instead I abused the "shortcut" system to correct my most common errors (a lot of the times I'm gonna write a word starting with th, I type tg instead. So the would be tge, there would be tgere. Etc.)
So when it's all under my control like I've done it now, it's great, otherwise, not so much.
