The online play looks SICK.
Even if you want to play single-player, you can have a random stand-by player added to your party as a 4th member. You can also play directly with squad quests and solo-missions without one players entire party they use in the campaign.
9 vs AI (4 players with their designated parties that is used in-game)
4 vs AI (one player picks the main character they use along with three other online players)
That's what I got out of it, anyway.
Can anybody else explain it better?
