PS4 and Xbox one offer a very similar experience and share many of the same games.... it's just not worth buying both consoles, most of us either don't have the financial means or the time investment needed to own both.
For me to fork over $400 for a PS4 would be equivalent to 7-8 games on my Xbox one.
In order for any console to succeed you need exclusive and these exclusives are what is fueling console wars.
PS4 might be out selling the Xbox one right now but come this Holiday .... Halo 5, Rise of Tomb Raider & Forza 6 is going to make everything interesting again.
