ok, id like to see how games like excite truck, the red steel games, boom blox, the trauma center games, skyward sword, metroid prime trilogy, etc. (i could seriously go on) would work without wiimotes. it is a completely different gameplay experience.

look, if youre not trying to troll me, let me take a step to lower our defenses toward eachother. i completely agree with you that these other two games you just mentioned (dk and nsmb) are completely the same on the wii u and on the wii. in fact, i detest how similar they are, and as a nintendo fan, it drives me nuts that they are offering the same game on both of these consoles. no advancements in any way for the new super mario bros games especially. that is something i certainly hate to see. so even though there are these couple games that are the same, that doesnt take away from my point that the consoles are completely different compared to the x1 and ps4.

there are also plenty of games on the wii u that offer completely different experiences than what can be attained on the wii. pikmin 3, kirby, and the new xenoblade are games that cannot in any way be done on the wii. for those games to be ported to that console would be impossible. unless you completely change how the games are played. this is so simple to see, and i dont understand why i have to explain something like this.

in all honesty, if you cannot see the difference between the wii and the wii u, and how they are further apart in terms of what they do and what they are compared to a ps4 and an x1, then i really dont think there is any discussion that could be had between us. if youre just going to grasp at these few examples without taking a step back and looking at the big picture, then what youre essentially doing is looking for whatever you can to support an opinion that you dont want to deviate from instead of looking at everything.

"would work without wiimotes"

i didn't ask you about wiimotes

i asked you what new gameplay the gamepad provides outside of touch functionality

"for those games to be ported to that console would be impossible. unless you completely change how the games are played."

a whole three games? lol but anyway does that also not apply to xbox games that use the kinect for example? how could they be transferred over to the ps4? or is this another situation where it doesn't matter?

"if you cannot see the difference between the wii and the wii u, and how they are further apart in terms of what they do and what they are compared to a ps4 and an x1"

to illustrate this point you listed 3 games 2 of which are not out yet

furthermore yes i think xenoblade and kirby could be done on wii with reduced graphics

so im supposed to explain how the gamepad changes gameplay without referring to the one thing that sets it apart.. hmm, yeah i cant do that. and those x1 games that use kinect, couldnt that be done on ps4's kinect sensor? i dont know much about ps4's kinect, both companies dont support their sensor bars very much. but anyway, lets just agree that you're right about everything lol. youre clearly here to just argue and not exchange any ideas or learn anything, so if i would like to graciously step out of this one.

you do realise that the ps4 also has touch functionality right?

which is why i said that it doesn't make sense to mention it as you for some reason don't believe the touch functionality of the ps4 is worth mentioning

"couldnt that be done on ps4's kinect sensor?"

the ps4s camera does noit have the same functionality as the kinect

" both companies dont support their sensor bars very much"

yes and the gamepad has been getting amazing support in comparison i'm sure

"youre clearly here to just argue and not exchange any ideas or learn anything"

well go on and teach me what i need to know
