It is actually very simple: brand loyalty.
You know how a Sony Xperia or Samsung Galaxy might be better than the iPhone, but they won't change their tastes? That's it.
I have played PSone, PS2, PS3 so my next move is PS4. When you talk about brands, there are other things beside specs and games, but a personality. You see, Xbox One started trying to kill indies, force online 24h, sports and tv all the time, selling Kinect like it's an awesome thing when we couldn't care less... There is no way I can trust Microsoft because that is reeeeeally far from videogames. They burned themselves for me so I have no interest.
