What? GT5 is the only thing I can think of where the content isn't hosted anymore (since there is 20gb or so of patchs for that game through its life) But do you mean games like MAG or MMO's which close down their servers? because there isn't much point to retain that data locally for games which are no longer available to play?
Sorry if there is something I'm missing or if I misunderstand what you mean btw, just confused.
