Well that's the great thing about this strategy, Nintendo is now free to branch out and increase their number of new IP by not having to make 2 of all their main franchises. For example, the Mario Kart team can release Mario Kart 9 in 2017 and support of with DLC for 1-2 years then go on to make another racing game that plays different from MK, perhaps something along the lines of Nintendo's own take on Need for Speed. They could do something like that with alot of their teams now.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
