It also took third parties several months to get seriously started with the GBA and the previous systems. I wouldn't worry too much about the delay right now. Although when it comes to Wii games, third parties don't really have much to choose from, so you shouldn't expect much overall.

Seriously started? Only Nintendo,CAPCOM and Konami are supporting the GBA and VC in general with little sprinkles by Bandai Namco and Natsume.  There is nothing serious about Wii U VC.
