Great sales, for sure, but if this is guessing the expectations of Nintendo, I'm sure they expected more sales, especially in Japan.

Well we dont know but im sure SSBU didn't fail at all^ Maybe underperformed but again it did extremely well on the 3ds side and i bet Nintendo was expecting it to do more in the west (which it did!)

Again 3.39mil is huge. Most people didn't expect it to sell all that high anywayz :o
