What would putting your competitors past/current mascots into your fighting game gain you?, because I can't see Nintendo gaining anything other than royalties to pay, that's the opposite of a benefit.
Also not including the "free publicity/free sales" let's not make a promise you don't have the data to provide nor keep.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
