It is their damn right to be greedy. Along with any other game maker/publisher. Nintendo is NOT the onlly ones doing this, they are however giving an avenue for people that regularly make Nintendo oriented videos to continue to do what they are doing while making it mutually beneficial. 

It is the right of any IP holder or artist to do what they want wwith their work. Some artists will try to use youtube to get their name out there, usually under their own control especially now days, and others will stop usage outside of their own posts. 

Almost every big publisher has instated rules and regulations regarding youtube or is in the process of doing so. 

Youtubers have been allowed for a long time to benefit off other people's work and in some cases become millionairs due to this practice. If it were my IP or art I would want the same. Manny of these youtubers would have little to no content, and viewers/followers, without the IP's from many of these big companies. 

Almost any music,video or game related content will be flagged if they do not have the rights to use it as iit iis not theirs. 

Read the warnings on videos or music or games about usage policies about copying, distribution in full or part. It's an unacceptable practice.

and as far as I know, Nintendo are indeed the only ones doing this in gaming. I don't care about Music or Movies, That's another story. That's just copying stuff, it's not interactive. But with games, you can create totally new stuff. I mean, just look at Minecraft for crying out loud!

I even heard of publishers who give Youtubers money or free games for Lets Plays, at least Paradox did so. So unless I'm missing completely something, Nintendo is all alone on this. Oh, and about the law: should we just accept anything that is Within the law without criticising it? What about shitty DLC, Pay 2 Win or Day 1 DLC? It's the publishers Right to do stuff like that, it's perfectly legal. So why are people complaining?

They are the only ones with thiis exact policy. They are far from the only company to be clamping down on youtube the the like. MS, Capcom, Activision and many others all have policies in place, some are far worse than Nintendo's. Oddly enough, with MS policies, siince AJ has covered so much of their stuff, any video where there content is covered, if they see something they like, they can take it as their own. Whether it's an idea, a new persona that they come up with or whatever. They have full legal rights to take it and give him nothing in return, he has already got his by making money by use oof their IP in his video.

As I said, each has their own take on it. With Minecraft, you can create whatever you want, but the IP still belongs to MS. So if someone were to create a user created world in minecraft and MS likes it, they could take it, disallow distribution of that level from that person that created it and release it as a paid expansion without anything extra going to the actual creator lol. It would be well within their rights for it. Just because someone might be ignorant to the policies at hand, does not mean they don't apply to that person. With the Paradox thing, that's their perogative on it. If they feel that can benefit from it they will likely utilize that till they feel it isn't of use anymore.

Laws are laws. You can have fun appealing them in a court, but beyond that there isn't much you can do. Perhaps try to change them, but since these are distribution, publication and intellectual property laws they aren't likely to budge much. Youtube has been nearly and anarchistic society up till recently. It's far from surprising that policies are being made and mandated. Again, as far as this law is concerned, I am more than happy to abide by it. Without these laws directly, if you or I were to create something on our own and someone stole it and profited from it, we would pretty much be out of luck. 

I didn't mean to come off so harsh in my prior post, I'm just so sick of all this bitching when people don't seem to have any grasp of what this is all about. AJ himself doesn't seem to. He could easily try taking this stuff to his lawyers and they would have to inform him that Nintendo, in this case, are well within their rights as the owners.
