That's just copying stuff, it's not interactive. But with games, you can create totally new stuff. I mean, just look at Minecraft for crying out loud! I even heard of publishers who give Youtubers money or free games for Lets Plays, at least Paradox did so. So unless I'm missing completely something, Nintendo is all alone on this. Oh, and about the law: should we just accept anything that is Within the law without criticising it? What about shitty DLC, Pay 2 Win or Day 1 DLC? It's the publishers Right to do stuff like that, it's perfectly legal. So why are people complaining? |
You're wrong there as Sega, SE, Atlus and so on still flag videos, I know because many of my videos have been flagged by them, ironically Nintendo the company allowing an avenue for people is the only one getting flack for it. Like it or not an IP owner reatains all rights to it, outside of Minecraft the aren't really any games dependent on YT.
Like I mentioned earlier it's not anything to do with consumers or such that's just a misdirected reason being thrown out as an excuse why they're unhappy, it's money and the sonner they admit it and people realize this the better as the likes of AJ and his fellow mob know that Nintendo games will get a lot of hits. Unfortunately for them they may not like the policy but for someone with a much smaller channel it's an opportunity which is why so many people have signed up and if the likes of AJ won't do Nintendo games then that's the main competition out the way already.
