Why aren't more games being made for the 3DS?

Japanese developers make a fair few games for it, but they are focusing a lot on mobile games as well. Not only that a lot of smaller niche developers go for the Vita instead since that has an audience that betters fits their niche.

It has also to do with sony dropping first party support, these devolopers now have the spotlight to sell more on the vita and they arent niche by the way. The vita clearly gets more games now than the 3DS despite selling a lot less.

All the niche Japanese games for Vita aren't niche? You sure about that?

If they would be niche they wouldnt be in retail but in the download store, they sell in japan and have their followers in the west
