Being 3rd party friendly and game developer friendly are not mutually exclusive (or are you saying third parties aren't also game developers?). I do get what you are saying about Nintendo also using the space though. Do you happen to know what size the largest physical retail game on Wii U is?

I'm saying the medium was beneficial to developers as a whole (not just third parties) and was the obvious choice.

Ok that I agree to. Although obvious choice of medium and Nintendo don't always go together (N64 cartidges in the CD era and Game Cube disks in the DVD era) xp
