Nintendo exlusives + 3rd party games = pretty appealing consol, IMO.

For me, it would be pretty appealing. But it's undeniable that 3rd party multiplatform games sell worse in Nintendo consoles. I think that Nintendo consoles don't sell because of the third party support, they sell because of their exclusive games/hardware. People would buy PS5/XBox2 (maybe? xD)/PC it they want to play third party games, at least, that's how I see things are right now. Nintendo consoles are more oriented to Nintendo hardcore fans and families. Wii sold a lot, but not because its third party support, only because its innovative concept.
Obviously, Sony asked third party developers about their hardware, because Sony can't live withouth third party support. Sony, as a developer, is less prolific than Nintendo. But I think Nintendo could handle next-gen console on their own, and, if they're working on unifying handheld/home console departments, the droughts they have in WiiU could dissapear.
