That's Metroid's role. Metroid Prime Trilogy feels more like a western game. To do an Uncharted game, just make the Prime games in third person view, greater complex overworlds and try to find a balance between the solitary Primes 1 and 2, and the Full of crew stories in Prime 3 and Other M.

If you believe Metroid is too niche, them something similar to Metroid and Mass Effect will work.

It's not Metroid's role. Metroid isn't even close to a mainstream franchise. I love Metroid far more than Uncharted, but the accessability, easiness, and twitchiness of Uncharted lends itself far more to a mainstream audience than the lonely, patient, and more methodical gameplay of Metroid.

You are talking about going western, not mainstream. Uncharted will never compare to the mainstream games like Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii or Wii Fit.

Your point was going western, and that was Metroid Prime. Why do you think MP3 Corruption is more based on battles than puzzles? Why do you think you have a large crew rather than solitary games like the first 2? Why do you think there were a lot of cutscenes in Other M? Even this last game tried to appeal to the western audience. Unfortunately, execution and not being a third person shooter make it impossible to achieve its objective.
