Its their anti realistic graphics/mature games policy that hurts them the most. And in time even the mobile games become irrelevant because people don't give much value to it.

Oh no! You didn't! Did you just say the M word on a forum full of Nintendo fanboys? You must be a COD casual dudebro! Just because Nintendo games appear to be for kids, are advertised for kids, and are mostly played by kids doesnt mean that they are for kids brah! E rated games fa' lyfe!

There's a number of misconceptions about the Wii U, among which seems to be this idea that it's designed solely for children. It's difficult to find ages on any specific console, but the e-shop survey seems to suggest it's popular with adults. It's not surprising that young children don't rank high on the eshop as their parents are likely buying it for them, but I do find the low 5% result for teens to be rather surprising.

  • 0-12 – 1%
  • 13-17 – 5%
  • 18-24 – 33%
  • 25-34 – 46%
  • 35+ – 14%
Also, it appears around 90% of Wii U's remain connected to the internet (higher than the PS4 or Xbox1), so they're not anti-online either... I don't understand why Nintendo doesn't take greater advantage of their consumer base's access to high speed internet. For instance, how on earth did the recent Mario Party not get network play???
