Yeah, I would say that their games were quite non-conventional and didn't follow their usual pattern, which I think isn't a bad idea as It gives the franchise to get a breath of fresh air. But yeah, software-wise I think the the GC was quite experimental.
But no doubt hardware-wise the Wii trumps all.
