I certainly agree to an extent, Nintendo needs western developers to make western focused games.
Right now their are 3 major western 1st/2nd party developers for Nintendo, Retro Studios, Next Level Games & Monster Games, all of these studios have just been tasked to revive older Nintendo ip (Metroid/Donkey Kong for Retro, Punch Out/Luigi's Mansion for NLG, Excite series/Pilotwings for Monster).
Nintendo should make this their western studio trifecta that develop more western oriented games.
Retro Studios should honestly be have two teams and could make a western RPG, perhaps revive Raven Blade while the other team makes a first person shooter in the style of Perfect Dark or Timesplitters.
Next Level Games has a long history of sports games, they could become the Nintendo Sports team, not Mario Sports or an EA Sports competitor but games that a nice middle ground between those two types of play styles.
Monster Games is mostly known for racing games, perhaps they could make Nintendo's version of Need for Speed or a sim racer.
