Might as well start with one of my early ones... I think I was six or seven when, after months of effort and (according to my parents) enduring terrible torture, I finally killed Jaffar in Aladdin for the sega genesis. Certainly one of the more gratifying and triumphant moments of my young life... I don't think I played it again for years.
I also remember thinking I had killed him once earlier, only to see him turn into a snake and subsequently die. This game taught me many great life lessons, such as "life ain't easy", "winning ain't easy" and, most importantly, "Hooray you wo-SURPRISE, unexpected new challenge, go back to start!" :D
Older games delighted in trolling children, it seems.
