Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars is easily one of the best looking SNES games, all the characters and environments are gorgeously detailed and animated. It also has an epic soundrack, and the hybrid platform / RPG mechanics are spot on. You definitely need to play this game. I love Paper Mario as well but I always felt it was a step back in the gameplay department... it was too easy for my tastes. The Thousand Year Door expanded on the gameplay and the visuals are outstanding. The handheld Mario & Luigi games are mixed bag for me though, never got into the series as a whole. |
Those games look good for what they are, but since there's no nostalgia attached to those games, I don't think they've aged that well. I have a GC, too bad I don't own TTYD because it looks good.
Everybody's been recommending Superstar Saga, I'll look out for that one. I'll try to watch some videos.
