"Competition is good for the consumer." - If only that were true, guys. So last generation there was Xbox Live (paid subscription) and PSN (free or as a premium membership service in the form of PS+). If competition served consumers, then we would have seen Microsoft adjusting and offering free online multiplayer while Xbox Live Gold would have come with multiple additional benefits for paying consumers. This will never happen. This is now a big key to Sony earning money again.

Besides all the games coming to ps+ its definitely worth it.

I don't think it's a big key. They have to pay the developers plus maintain the infrastructure.
