Haven't had this much fun with one of these games since Demon's Souls. Bloodborne just feels like a fresh new take. Probably why DS2 is my least favorite of them all (Actually, probably not. There's several things I didn't like about DS2). I probably can't give a fair opinion because of this reason.
With that said, Bloodborne has been great so far and if it continues to impress the way it has until the end, it will be my favorite. The game has the best atmosphere I've had the pleasure experiencing in a game. The no-shield gameplay also adds a lot to the intensity of combat. You're not just passively observing your enemies as soon as you walk in a room and there's multiple dudes. You're forced to spring into action or die. I have found 1 shield, but screw it, the game just feels right without them.Trick weapons and no equipment load are also just awesome. You can focus more/sooner on just finding the weapon set and play style that works best for you (Loving the Kirkhammer/HunterAxe w/Reapet Pistol at the moment).
