3DS's is library is great. I do however think it severely lacks the small experimental games GBA and DS had. Indie developers who specialize in experimental retro looking games are roughly the same size or smaller than the teams who worked on previous handhelds. Though they already found their audience on PC, consoles and sometimes Vita. It's tough for Nintendo to juggle two devices with minimal support from small developers.
