Didn't the egyptian empire last for longer? Seriously, Nintendo should at least change some of their policies to better adapt to the gaming market of today. 

Of course, no company is perfect.

Egypt was never really an empire, but a kingdom(s). They have also been conquered many times by foreign forces like the Assyrians, Ethiopians (Taharqa was an Ethiopian pharao), Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Ottomans, etc.
