Why aren't more games being made for the 3DS?

That's understandable. 

For me, personally, no games could ever release for the 3DS ever again and I'd be fine. There are so many games that have already come out for it that I want to get, and I'm already really happy with the small library I have. I feel that production for 3DS games has slowed down due to it being near the end of its life. A similar situation happened to the DS in its final years, as well. This is also because most handheld developers jumped ship to mobile platforms, and Nintendo handhelds have almost never gotten western support.
