Nintendo isn't other video game companies most of there sales happen over time, not the first couple of weeks. I think I would agree that it's a case of what one would perceive as value. From a business standpoint I can see why they do it but as a consumer I have frustration with it when other companies aren't following this practice. Value degrades over time in my opinion (unless it's a rare collectible). Games should not cost the same as they did at launch almost two years after it was released. I find it greedy, they call it smart business. However, that's one of the reasons I own seven Wii games and over 70 Xbox 360 and PS3 titles.
