As for MS and Nintendo doing business, MS has done business with Tecmo and put Master Chief in DOA, so it could happen. I am just saying i'll believe it the day that it happens, thats all. Personally as a fan of smash i'd rather have Bayonetta, because there is no character like her in the game. Banjo is unique as well but Bayonetta to me is just badass and shes represented Nintendo better than I thought. When I get my Wii U I must have her game, kart and smash so I would be more personally inclined to want her in.
I see your point though. Lets hope Nintendo allows things to go smoothly if any of that is to be believed.

The Spider Man move had nothing to do with Sony's position. The Spider Man movie all make money already. Bayo has been in only one Nintendo game. She's not even close to deserving being considered a Nintendo character, yet. She's just a 3rd party exclusive, like MGS and RE4 on GCN. Same with Snake and Leon. Banjo was born and raised on Nintendo. If any other non-Nintendo character deserves to be in Smash, it's him. Him and Nintendo have a history.
I think it would be an extremely good PR move for both of them.

Regardless of the issues, Sony needs to make the right moves and so far they've been very good. Profitability can be seen in the near future if they keep going.
Banjo was born and raised on Nintendo, but then again...so was Crash Bandicoot, Sypro and Tomba (as well as others) on Sony and we all know legalities are the reason why we cannot see them any longer. I've had to learn to get used to not seeing these characters. Master Chief has made it onto DOA so I can see Microsoft making it happen, but I was just being cautious. I am not here to rain on anyones parade.
It would be a good PR move but I think Bayonetta would be better personally. I just signed the petition for her when I get my Wii U.
