1. Is this a screw MS post? ..... ABSOLUTELY. MS is console manufacturer. They are the owners of Rare. They are the owners of Banjo. They do something relevant with Banjo. Not Nintendo. Why Should Nintendo do something relevant for an IP that will serve them no benefit in the future? On top of that BEFORE the actual IP owner does? Why? 2. I did not cherry pick those 2. They were picked specifically because it is known without a doubt that they were included to promote their new release. Users in this thread are acting like can not or has not used to promote interest in new release or old IPs. I thought that was well known! Of course that is not the point of game but can it be used for that... Has it been used for that? YES!!! That is the point im making. What separates smash from other games in updating the looks of characters is that smash wil only do it with a new release. Aka. Ganondorf, pit, fox designs didnt change because they have not been featured in any new games. |
1. but thats just it, it ISNT relevant. Its ONE character being put in a fighting game with like 40 other characters. People need to relax, if hes in the game Ninty isnt going to loose money and that doesnt mean people will buy the next Banoj(if there is one in droves) Personally i rather have an additional character than none at all.
2. Cause maybe its not promoting anything or trying to spur interest in some imaginary game that may or may not be made. Its fanservice, it just them saying hey guys remember him/her. Again its a fighting game, its not like these characters really represent the game they are from anyway, so no i dont agree that it s a commercial. Unless they start doing what they did with the Brawl and you can play various games for a few minutes from different series, now that is advertisment but even then that was more for VC
still doesnt really prove anything. Hell the Pacman they used wasnt even the Pacman from the last few games. Or Solid Snake was for that matter. Or Sonic. They changed Duck Hunt dog and he hasnt appeared in anything for a while.
