The "two different worlds" and changing main characters from Persona. Social sim (if there is any) from Persona. We have no idea how dungeon crawling will work, yet (which will tell us whether or not it has plucked it from SMT or Persona.) Like DDS, Devil Survivor, etc this game seems to have some MegaTen elements, while discarding others, and at the same time adding additional things (Fire-Emblem's class system, ATB battle system, larger open/semi-open world, etc.) This is obviously not a spin-off (in the story sense), precisely because the story probably won't connect to any Fire-Emblem or SMT game. Fire-Emblem characters will likely have the same role that real-world mythology has in mainline SMT games. |
If this not spin off why there are alot of FE and SMT old character in this games and also "because the story probably won't connect to any Fire-Emblem or SMT game" (that's whta people call spin off 
) ? and then the gameplay is more of SMT or Persona games rather then a new creation for cross game mechanic, it doesnt add new thing and look like another Persona and SMT while loosing many from FE. while Persona 5 it Persona series people already love. and if you say SMT and Persona has separate story it's wrong they have seperate stories but it still on the same universe except Digital Devil saga which is an easter egg for dante.
