Bayonetta 2 flopped, though. Toad doesn't need help. Even Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker outsold Bayonetta 2, so no justice has been served.

Its not Toads fault though. He has been with Mario since day 1 and has been involved in almost every competitive nintendo game. He is even in Strikers. The omission from Smash is a travesty of justice.

If anything Nintendo has shown more respect for Bayonetta than anyone else. Not only did Bayonetta get a fantastic sequel, she also got the first game remastered with new outfits. Bayonetta had a good run.

Although I agree with some of what you said, Bayonetta clearly is the better candidate simply because she needs more visibility. A chance, that's all she needs. Toad's had way too much promo, it's time for Bay to shine! A messy release with no promo, she didn't have a good run. She was forgotten and spat on.

(I really don't understand why Toad isn't a playable character in Smash)
