AMD is hurting a lot, while Nvidia is in almost an Apple like position where they can charge whatever they want - both companies have no interest in offering high end GPUs at low prices
well, and the GM200 (Titan X, future Nvidia GPUs) and Fiji (390X/390) are really big chips that alone cost more than $200-300 per unit to R&D and produce
