One thing that Nintendo might like about this is never really having to do price cuts again. They can keep their premium prices on hardware, whenever a new model comes out it retails for the same price as the previous model, and the old one simple gers phased out with retailers doing their own price cuts to move unsold stock.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
