Really? Ur going to use JohnLucas to generalize an entire group?

No, just using a silly quote to show that it is silly. The vast majority of Nintendo fans disagree with 95% of what he says anyway, so that would be a misplaced attempt at any rate.

There really were quite a few users who were adamant that the Wii U would win Japan though, easily so. I have to admit that I didn't expect the PS4 to do quite as well as it is right now, and I never imagined that any one console would "win" by a large margin, that could be wrong. But I still don't think anyone will come close to the 10 million mark in Japan in the 8th gen.

Probably a lot fewer who think so now, but I noticed some still do. A couple of weeks ago, some people (only recall MateriaBlade by name) seemed to still think that WiiU will end up ahead of PS4 in Japan, in spite of the current WiiU baseline and the boost PS4 seems to get from just a few Japanese titles. Makes me wonder what they base their opinions on, as they rarely give their reasoning.
Personally I think PS4's Japan lifetime sales will be easier to figure out once the PS4 Slim (price cut) hits Japan, since there's bound to be a lot more Japanese attractive games on the market by the time it hits a more lucrative price for a market that has become more hesitant on shelling out a lot of money on consoles.

"just a few" japanese titles? ps4 has just received a lot of games over the past weeks, including DQ heroes. A boost was expected. it's the post boost baseline that matters.
