If you don´t domine the "Witch Time" you can´t win. And you need a perfect timing for that, you need to know what your enemy is about to do (kind of souls style) to be able to refuse the attack. Sometimes you have to do it on purpuse because the enemy is too fast and you need to stop the time.

Furthemore, if you just attack with one botton you are making the game boring because you want to be bored. Is 100 times more rewarding when you learn to do the combos and the invocations, it feels REALLY GOOD. And you beat the enemies more quickly and you get better rewards.

I get even less enjoyment out of remembering combo buttons. Everything is about remembering which buttons to press then and that distracts you from every other part of the game. Those epic battles? Barely noticed them because I was busy pressing those buttons. They all felt the same to me.

I completely understand why their games don't sell. They should try a different genre.

Not to sound condescending, but maybe this isn't your genre? :P

Bayonetta is a spectacle fighter, 100% through and through, which is a sort of subset of the character action game.  If you don't enjoy them thoroughly, you will not enjoy Bayonetta 2 at all.  That's just the reality of it.  Nearly every single spectacle fighter fan I have seen review or discuss the game has had positive things to say ranging from good to amazing.  Sometimes, you have to take a step back and just ask if a genre or series isn't for you, especially before going so far as to call the games garbage and the devs talentless, which is essentially what you did. 

No, you're right. This was the first Hack & Slash game I ever bought. Played some GoW at a friend and liked that better, but still nothing amazing. I watched full let's plays of the GoW franchise though. It's something I prefer to watch instead of play. I would never watch a let's play of Bayonetta though. The whole setting repulses me.

I don't think highly of Platinum Games though (that Legend of Korra game is awful as well). And I think this whole genre is overrated and gets high scores way too easily compared to for example a good 2D platformer which gets slammed because it's not Metroid or 3D.
