| Hiku said: Yeah, besides the scene of the ruined city, it doesn't look anything like the SMT series, which is notoriously dark. Nor does the artwork. The overworld resembles a mix of Persona 5/Catherine and Yakuza. But with SMT in the title, I also expected something further from Persona, and closer to the darker more fantasy like SMT. Also because it seems like a closer match to the FE world. |
Especially with how the teaser ended with that ominous shot of the city. This is completely different in tone from that. Once the director mentioned "pegasus in modern Tokyo," I was 100% sure that we'd be seeing Shibuya and Building 109. It just seemed obvious. But like... JPop? Seriously? Ugh, I dunno. The whole thing just gels so weird to me. With Hyrule Warriors, it looks like an obvious cross over. This looks like a completely different franchise with no influences from either thing it's crossing over. And it doesn't even seem to capture the spirit of either series. I don't know how to feel about it, yet I know I'm buying it. At least we'll know if it's good this winter.
