The designers know that your only real option is to run through them which then puts you in a direct fight before the boss with a load of crows and a big dude, whilst worrying that the two wolves might follow. oh...I beat those wolves like five times, blood farming. Requires a lot of work, blood vials, and patience, but I Can do it. The boss was way easier. I do love the game, but that just seemed unfair.
Took me forever to learn the difference between two handed and one handed melee combat. for like four hours I was like "WHY CAN;T I USE MY GUN?!" not realizing that I had my axe set to two-handed. Lots of little things like that keep me smiling every time I figure it out.
