I'd also say the $60 a year for online play is super consumer friendly.  Granted MS and Sony seem to have better servers but they are still asking you for $300 to $600 additional dollars from you per gen (based on a 5 to 10 year hardware cycle) on top of the console price.

Plus gives me a ton of stuff...... Nintendo really needs something similar. Sony still lost money on that 600$ PS3.....

 

Nintendo never gives consumers a break, MS and Sony both try to when possible
