Ya it's far from the greatest lineup of fighters ever but my point is that Wii was not lacking this genre, were the competitors better represented in this genre? Yes, but that's not the point. Anybody who owned a Wii and enjoyed fighting games could get a good fighting experience just by owning a Wii.

Let's say u owned Smash Bros, Punch-Out!, Dragon Ball Z, Mortal Kombat, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, that's 5 games with different play styles that recieved an average review score of about 8-8.5, pretty hard to say someone who enjoys fighting games (not diehard fan) couldn't find a good fighting experience on Wii.

Im a fighting game fan its my fav genre and i couldnt disagree with you more. I owned the WIi and the fighting experience was terrible, no Soul Calibur, Tekken, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Dead or Alive, BlazBLue, Mortal Kombat (new ones not some port of years old game), King of Fighters(again not ports even though i did buy the collection), Person4Arena, MarvelvsCapcom, Injustice. I dont know how a system could not have all this and then someone can still say if you had a Wii you were good. But to each his own

BUt then again i am a diehard fighter so my demands might be higher, BUT considering the popularity of the games i stated were missing on the Wii versus the games that actually appeared on the WIi(smash bros not withstanding the rest of them sold like crap) I dont think i am in the minority here. I mean NO Street Fighter?! come on!

That's where the difference in opinion comes from, ur a diehard fighting fan so of course u have to own the console with the best fighting lineup, for somebody who simply enjoys fighting games, having a handful of good games in said genre is enough.

The start of this discussion was whether or not Wii was missing certain genres, fighters is a genre that was represented on Wii.
