I agree with this to some degree- its partially Nintendo's fault that the 3rd parties aren't there. beyond the terrible marketing for the Wii U probably turning them off, generally a big console developer has to pay off SOME third parties. Sony does it constantly, Microsoft/Xbox not so much, but I mean the number of exclusives from third parties for Sony is fascinating. bear in mind a lot of the cases are where Sony has purchased exclusivity
probably Sony often does this because they do not have a lot of their own strong IPs, but I don't see why Nintendo doesn't pay off a few third party developers to put some bigger adult themed franchises on their systems
I know Nintendo likes to just rely on their own goods and that they are pretty safe financially, but it would be nice to see them actually fight harder to get third parties on their consoles. as the old addage goes, you have to spend money to make money
