I only took games that had physical releases.

so you shouldnt have a problem naming some of those games then? I would love to know all those fighters

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Punch-Out!

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 1-3

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008-2011

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2-3

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars

Victorious Boxers Revolution

Mortal Kombat Armageddon

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core/Plus

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up

Facebreaker KO Party

That's 18 fighting games that got decent-good scores (7.0+)

ugh! as a fighting fan that list makes me sad, its missing the heavy hitters but to each his own.

Ya it's far from the greatest lineup of fighters ever but my point is that Wii was not lacking this genre, were the competitors better represented in this genre? Yes, but that's not the point. Anybody who owned a Wii and enjoyed fighting games could get a good fighting experience just by owning a Wii.

Let's say u owned Smash Bros, Punch-Out!, Dragon Ball Z, Mortal Kombat, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, that's 5 games with different play styles that recieved an average review score of about 8-8.5, pretty hard to say someone who enjoys fighting games (not diehard fan) couldn't find a good fighting experience on Wii.
