That's just just your opinion though, if they had an expiration date as general rule, the charm and appeal of Shovel Knight and of course retro gaming in general wouldn't be there. There are hundreds of NES/SNES era games which are just as playable and appealing today as they were back in the 80s/90s. There are many which seem crap now, but also did back in the day. Sift out the good stuff. |
I know. It's all opinion but somehow, even trying to be retro, those newer games (like my beloved Cave Story) feel new. Can't explain it.
