Did you know that the windows 8.1 mode is difficult to see at 1920x1080? Coupling to a 27' HD screen makes this machine very usable, but on the road it is only a temporary setup. It's not really a proper mobile device. If you lower the resolution, you will see much less on screen and it makes the whole windows 8.1 mode less usable.

Why is "the windows 8.1 mode difficult to see at 1920x1280" on an 10.8''-tablet? Even my much smaller 8.3''-Windows tablet with a gorgeous 1920x1200-display is perfectly readable without changing the font size. Not only when I hold it in my hands, but also if I place it 2 feet away and connect my bluetooth keyboard with it... the display of the Surface 3 is 74% bigger. And if you prefer bigger letters, you can increase the font size instead of lowering the resolution.
